As part of our team you will be asked to:

  • Primary focus will be hands-on performance and load testing expertise for a new digital retailing product.
  • Ideal candidates will have broad QA experience including functional test automation engineering and tools.
  • Contribute to quality assurance requirements and strategies that span the product development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with development teams to create Develop and carry out quality assurance and test plans to ensure that requirements and quality objectives are satisfied.  Evaluate test results and ensure issues are communicated and worked with teams to a resolution.
  • Develop, apply and maintain test suites and test systems for software products. 
  • Develop and carry out methods and procedures for automated and manual product testing.
  • Identify, analyze and report product defects, assist with resolution and verify that corrective actions meet quality objectives.
  • Provide Quality Engineering support to multiple teams within Systems and/or Applications groups as necessary.
  • As part of a central QA organization, develop and continually improve quality assurance methods, tools, platforms and test environments.
  • Provide QA direction and advice for major programs and new development initiatives.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching and guidance to less experienced QA engineers.  Serve as a technical expert for product qualification and development processes.
  • Participate in early phases of development projects to provide an end-user perspective.
  • Participate in peer reviews for development project deliverables.
  • Evaluate and report test results.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of hands-on API and UI performance and load testing expertise using JMeter, BlazeMeter and APM tools such as AppDynamics.
  • 5+ years engineering experience with various programming languages is desired (JavaScript/React/Node/python and Java preferred)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) and integrating automated tests with pipelines
  • Focus on automated processes (Test reports, Test traceability)
  • Experience with source control (Git, GitHub Flow, Stash)
  • Experience in Web applications, Web services, back-end white-box testing
  • An ongoing thirst for new knowledge and ideas, and a passion for software engineering as a QA Performance / Automation Engineer
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Creative problem-solving, proficient debugging and profiling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Automation framework knowledge; Automaton for web application, web services, performance and mobile devices
  • Agile and Test management tools: JIRA, Zephyr, reporting tools and plugins
  • API testing and related tools such as Postman, Rest-assured, Soap UI
  • Agile experience and knowledge with sprint cycles, sprint planning, stand-ups, functional and regression, UAT test cycles
  • Eye for detail and focus on customer-centric workflows
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, computer science or related field is preferred
