POSITION OVERVIEW
 

In this role you will be working with CDK’s operation and product teams to provide visibility in the application performance monitoring. You will be hands on with APM agent deployment/upgrade, Businesses transaction configurations, End user monitoring, Synthetic monitoring, dashboarding, and alerting and notification. In this role you will have chance work with various different technologies including AWS.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and documentation skills, ability to deliver results under time sensitive deadlines, great collaboration skills and a solid understanding of multiple technologies.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full project life cycle for Monitoring and Event Management Solutions.
  • Own accountability for design solutions and implementations.
  • Estimate, design, build, test, and support monitoring solutions.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand the best possible APM and Monitoring solutions for the technology.
  • Ensure right monitoring and diagnostic tools are in place.
  • Drive adoptions of new technologies, researching technical trends and creative solutions to provide visibility into the health of systematic business processes and supporting ecosystem.
  • Work with the project teams to find technical solutions.
  • Conduct performance testing for existing or new applications and implement technical solutions.
  • Create end to end transaction visibility and dashboard creation for all levels of end users.
  • Set up dashboards and configurations in the tools.
  • Work with internal customers and vendors to achieve optimal monitoring solutions.
  • Provide direction on defining the best-in-class monitoring standards and guidelines.
  • Recognize and tag proactive indicators for events.
  • Send events to a centralized repository for action.
  • Crosstrain on the tool’s diagnostics functions, including measuring patterns, performance, correlations, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Software Developer, Performance Engineer, or QA Engineer / QA Analyst required.
  • Extensive experience designing, building, testing, and supporting monitoring solutions.
  • Must have technical experience with some of the following monitoring toolsets: Windows, Linux, Unix, AIX, Mainframe, Spunk, Application Performance Management (APM), AppDynamics, New Relic, Synthetic Monitoring, Performance Monitoring.
  • Must have monitoring experience on some of the following technologies: Java, .NET, .NET core, NodeJs, Python, Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, Angular JS, React JS, IIS, Apache, AWS, Network, End User Monitoring, SQL, Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) on one or more Application Performance Management (APM) toolsets highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology field highly preferred
  • Ability to manage projects, find solutions, and implement solutions required
  • Ability to collaborate with business partners across a large organization to gather requirements and implement solutions required.
  • Experience with the following performance toolsets JMeter, BlazeMeter, Silk Performer, Load Runner is preferred.
  • Experience with Jira, Bamboo, Stash, Artifactory. Ansible, Puppet, ITLT preferred.
