Job Duties:
The Training Multimedia Video Developer is responsible for the development of eLearning videos who will combine design and technical expertise to design and create training videos.  This person is responsible for making media recommendations that will enhance the effectiveness of learning solutions.  This is a position that requires a high level of creativity, collaboration and a keen eye for design.  


What to expect in this role:   
•    Full-Time, Permanent (not contract)
•    Develops and deploys eLearning videos and instructional media (i.e., graphics, icons, data visualizations). 
•    Requires a strong understanding of how to use eLearning design software and how to apply learning development standards.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Plan, design, create, develop, edit, produce, upload, and manage short screencast instructional/training/learning video tutorials and presentations.
•    Meet with others to discuss projects and multimedia video requirements. Participate in meetings, research training content, and conduct interviews to better understand audience needs and instructional deliverables.
•    Follow industry standards, brand standards, and evidence based guidelines 
•    Develop and maintain templates, scripts and storyboards. 
•    Translate instructional design storyboards and scripts into short eLearning videos that are visually appealing, easy to understand, and ultimately reduce training related Tech Support phone calls.
•    Use screen and video capture software such as Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Captivate and adapt to new software and learning techniques as needed.
•    Record, edit and sync audio 
•    Revise and edit videos based on SME reviews and peer feedback.
•    Keep current with technological developments and trends in visual/graphic design
•    Meet project deadlines

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
BS in in Adult Education, Graphic Arts, Fine Arts or related field, or 3-5 years related work experience.

 

Requirements:
•    Strong video screencast development skills.
•    Intermediate or advanced skill level in training video planning, designing, script writing, and developing.
•    Two (2) years of experience must include: developing eLearning videos and/or multimedia assets for a learning organization, knowledge of eLearning software; Captivate and/or Articulate, working knowledge of video editing software; Camtasia and/or Adobe Premier Pro, working knowledge of audio editing software; Audacity and/or Audition 
•    Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance
•    Strong professional skills with the ability to self-manage.
•    Collaborative with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
•    Creative and imaginative, keen attention to detail/Good eye for design and layout
•    Resourceful and effective in problem solving and troubleshooting
•    Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
•    Ability to multi-task across project/initiatives and deliver according to time and cost commitments
•    Contribute in agile environment -  must be able to provide iterative solutions and enthusiastically receive and swiftly respond to feedback.  

 

Preferred skills:
•    Possess a developing knowledge of how Elead software applications are used in dealerships 
•    Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator and/or After Effects 
•    Working knowledge of the learning design process.
•    Strong knowledge of instructional media development best practices. 
•    Ability to understand target audiences within the dealership operations and the automotive industry.
•    Use development tools such as Microsoft Office applications, Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition, After Effects, and Premier) applications.
