The Learning Technologies Manager will lead a team of technology professionals and will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution for the CDK learning technology ecosystem, which includes learning management systems, virtual classroom platform, learning content management system, learning lab environment and the integration of systems supporting the business environment. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Learning & Performance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Sets strategic direction for CDK learning technologies, including the learning management system (LMS), learning content management system (LCMS), virtual classroom platform, hands-on labs infrastructure, and reports/analytics.
  • Internal expert on all aspects of Learning Technology and acts as the liaison to the Vendor Management and Information Technology teams.
  • Manages a team of learning and systems professionals who oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of learning systems.
  • Collaborates with and advises on appropriate learning solutions that fit within the hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Builds detailed architecture diagrams, plans, and timelines in accordance with learning projects.
  • Proactively works with internal teams to create monthly, quarterly and annual plans for learning that support the business planning cycles.
  • Initiates and manages technology licenses and systems permission requests.
  • Provides coaching and direction to leaning technology staff and regularly evaluate performance against objectives.
  • Oversee the Learning & Development technology budget – including planning, forecasting, tracking, and invoice management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technologies or similar IT, Business, or Technology programs.
  • 3+ years of experience in learning leadership and/or learning program management in a complex environment, preferably in a technology organization.
  • 5-7 years of experience with the technical aspects of the Learning technologies (LMS, LCMS, Virtual Classrooms); including design, configuration, and support.
  • Highly technology literate; quickly learns new applications and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams providing them with direction, support, and career development.
  • Advanced project management capabilities
  • Strong change management and communication skills

 

 

Preference

  • Experience with Workday Learning, Success Factors, Cornerstone, or other relevant LMS technologies.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience building and maintaining software hands-on labs environments.
  • Preferred proficiency with Jira Project Management software.
