As a Contract Specialist you will be primarily responsible for processing Sales contracts accurately and timely, from quote to roll-call.  The Contract Specialist will write and key contracts of basic product sets and deal types.  This role will also closely collaborate with internal business partners of all levels to understand and set expectations to ensure contractual compliance, technical, legal compliance and billing is setup appropriately on the contract.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages deals from quote to roll-call; ensure deals are accurately written within the established service level agreements, meets all legal requirements and are installable
  • Effectively manages multiple tasks with competing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • High attention to detail with precision and accuracy
  • Proven ability to excel in fast paced, high volume and changing environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate in cross-functional situations
  • Research and prepare Post Purchase Addenda (PPA) ensuring accurate credit to the client and minimize costs to CDK by placing appropriate lines on hold and charge restocking fee when applicable.  Timely follow-up to ensure equipment is returned, lines are adjusted and installed for accurate revenue recognition.
  • Ensure standard process is applied on related Non-Standard Addenda (NSA) items including non-standard pricing when writing and keying contracts
  • Builds solutions/contracts at a line level with all required products based on the solution proposed by Sales.  Review existing network billing lines to ensure old equipment is lost and billing amended based on Pre-Sales Engineering (PSE) Billing Analysis.  Review PSE Quotes to confirm Solution Design information is reflected accurately base on quotes/sites and solution design.  Review product requirements/launch kit information.
  • Validate accuracy of contracts keyed to ensure correct invoicing to client.
  • Research Quota related inquiries and provide results, including resolution, if applicable
  • Provide verification of products sold if questions arise during contract keying process
  • Collaborate to develop and streamline processes
  • Attend weekly Director of Sales (DOS) meetings, provide status on forecasted deals, and review statuses of open contract issues
  • Utilize current resources/tools – Sales Quoting Tool (SQT), Product Look-up, InfoLink and Finance Service Organization SharePoint Library for product launch/changes to new and existing products.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

CDK Global provides integrated technology solutions to over 26,500 Auto, Truck, Motorcycle, Marine, Recreational Vehicle and Heavy Equipment dealers throughout the world.

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or 1-3 years contracting experience with some college.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and is detail oriented with precision and accuracy.  Ability to communicate effectively in cross-functional situations and working with a sense of urgency while providing stellar customer service, are vital to succeed in this role.  This is a fast-paced environment with daily and monthly deadlines; overtime may be required during these deadlines.
