The Digital Success Consultant serves as a Digital champion for a territory of automotive dealers who have CDK digital services. In this capacity, the consultant demonstrates “ownership” of the digital products through product knowledge, resolution support team relations. Identify digital solutions, analyze performance and coach/train dealership management and Internet department staff on maximizing their CDK digital investment.  

The Digital Success Consultant is a highly motivated, digital evangelist who is team-oriented and works closely wth sales and services organizations to help dealers deliver an integrated digital strategy that focuses on websites, lead generation, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), paid search (SEM), display campaigns, social media and reputation management tactics.

The Digital Success Consultant will proactively analyze dealer digital strategies to identify opportunities for improvement, optimizations and/or performance issues.  Support and provide suggestions on digital strategy, while regularly facilitating in-store engagements. They will meet regularly with dealer management to review program strategies and Area/dealer performance, along with status updates on previously crafted Action Plans.

  • Primary digital account and CDK digital expert for Dealer Principals, top management at dealerships, as well as capitalizing on opportunities to develop relationships with OEM Regional and Field personnel to promote knowledge and adoption of CDK digital products. 
  • Build, train, and manage relationships to ensure positive feedback from dealership personnel on CDK products and services. Use a combination of onsite, phone, and distance learning to promote digital value and competitive advantages.
  • Generate Sales leads and/or Support follow as necessary to retain and grow dealership adoption.
  • Create and manage dealership prioritization list.  Identify key, influential and priority dealers to target for education and growth of CDK website, advertising and plus up product adoption.
  • Develop action plans for the dealerships and track progress.
  • Create dealer contact plan and schedule visits in order to develop, coach, train, and monitor process and results improvement initiatives.
  • Review, critique, and discuss dealer websites, associated traffic, Internet and web site trends, and material announcements that affect the Dealerships. Track progress and ensure results across key digital performance measurements.
  • Deliver presentations as requested and facilitate/training at individual dealerships or via dealership workshops, OEM sponsored seminars, breakout sessions, etc.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations relative to product performance. Troubleshoot dealership digital escalations.
  • Accountable for accurate and timely record keeping and data delivery for all dealers and initiatives within assigned territory and programs.
  • Communicate pro-actively and provide prompt follow up with dealers, CDK sales and service team and OEM partners through e-mail, phone and in-store visits.
  • Perform all job functions with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Analyze complete dealership Digital Marketing process; educate dealership leadership on performance drivers; formulate action plan to improve performance; coach management and Digital Marketing staff to achieve plan goals

 

Qualifications Required:

  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Meets high standards in verbal and written communication.
  • Adept at business consulting, analysis and reporting.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter and have the desire to succeed in a fast paced rapidly growing industry.
  • 3-5 years professional experience in Automotive required
  • Strong presentation skills and be able to present to large groups of 200, or small groups of 10.
  • Experience consulting one on one
  • Experience on internet process, ecommerce or Advertising product, or lead management CRM tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, retain and train with an in depth knowledge of website functionality, SEO and digital advertising as well as operational expertise using website backend tools.
  • Travel Experience.
  • Consultant experience OR experience training various dealership stores on lead mgmt crm tools.
  • Ability to work independently from a remote/home office.
  • College degree or equivalent experience required.  OEM Wholesale experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:           

  • 50% Travel required. Air, train and automobile travel. Valid passport, driver’s license required.
  • Ability to spend up to 4 days per week in field (Including overnights - 3 or more overnights per week dependent on Area & CDK Global initiatives).
  • Live within assigned Geographic Area.
