Senior Systems Engineer provides technical services and support for corporate users and systems as well as product-hosted datacenter systems. Services provided include on-site computer, server and network support, and remote services.  As a full-stack engineer, you will work in a dynamic environment alongside fellow engineers to design, implement and manage infrastructure supporting thousands of customers as well as internal teams. Our ideal candidate has production experience in a high-compute environment; is passionate about performance, testability, and maintainability; and is highly customer-centric.

Requirements, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 5-7 years of experience working in an enterprise systems engineering environment.
  • Support day-to-day duties managing multiple virtualized datacenter environments and corporate sites.
  • Assess architecture and hardware throughout the enterprise, evaluate processes and systems capabilities, recommend solutions and perform updates to improve systems to reduce risk, promote uptime, improve performance or address technical limitations.
  • Manage infrastructure for optimal performance, reliability, redundancy, and scale.
  • Proactive monitoring and management of systems to minimize impact from system downtime.
  • Work with IT and other internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to meet business needs and organizational goals.
  • Install, validate, integrate and support critical systems and applications.
  • Define and develop efficient and effective solutions for diverse and complex problems through strategic thinking and “hands-on” technical abilities.
  • Identify, assess, develop and implement risk mitigation and change management plans.
  • Provide technical expertise and direction through an understanding of technical architecture, quality, performance, scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability, and testability.
  • Meet commitments and multitask in a fast-paced work environment with a high-level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Other duties, tasks, projects or assignments as directed.


Demonstrated skills working in an evolving and growing IT environment:

  • Hands-on experience with systems configuration, administration and management in a VMware, EMC Storage, Cisco network environment.
  • Administering and managing Windows Server (2012R2 & 2016).
  • Working knowledge of Windows IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, networking (TCP/IP, iSCSI, VMware VDS) and enterprise storage administration and management
  • Efficiency managing ADDS, DNS, DHCP, and GPO.
  • Automated configuration, deployment and systems management (Chef, WSUS, SCCM, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver quality solutions in a highly available, enterprise-class environment.
  • Attitude toward getting things done while maintaining regard for quality
  • Great communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of initiatives and comfortable seeking help
  • Comfortable tackling new problems and learning along the way


Experience with the following a plus:

  • Hands-on configuration and management with Cisco routing & switching
  • VMware Horizon View and management of VDI environments
  • Understanding of multi-tiered web service architecture and SaaS model
  • F5 administration maintaining systems in a load-balanced environment
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, shell scripts)
  • Administering and supporting Mac and Linux systems


Working Conditions:

  • Position located in Destin, FL
  • Lifting requirement of up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel may be required to other office locations and expected to be minimal
  • On-call rotation and work required during after-office hours and weekends
