This role is an entry level role in the Client Engagement job family.

 

The Client Engagement Manager I manages less complex projects for 1 or 2 clients.  This position, with help, develops and maintains a workable project plan to accomplish the project objectives and schedule.  The Client Engagement Manager I monitors the status of projects and reviews change requests with a more senior Engagement Manager or the team Manager. The Client Engagement Manager I is expected to learn how to play a key role in sustaining client relationships, maintaining target utilization rates, and optimizing business results.

 

Responsibilities for this position include correct communication internally of issues and results, monitoring progress of the delivery team of key deliverables against the timeline, and learning the responsibilities of a Client Engagement Manager. 

 

Key Responsibilities  

. With supervision, tactically and proactively manages specific projects for a delivery team

. Works with a core team to define, establish and ensure completion of all specific project milestones

. Writes detailed project specifications

. Analyzes and comes up with suggested resolution to project issues that have the potential to jeopardize the ability to meet agreed upon deliverables; escalates any issues appropriately

. Provides full and accurate program communication with the internal clients

. Ensures the effective management of day-to-day activities on all assigned projects

. Manages client expectations on all project requirements and deliverables 

. Consistently gathers weekly status reports for projects

. May assist more Senior Engagement Managers with business case preparation

. May provide input into the roadmap

. Identifies assumptions, dependencies, & potential risks; may provide ideas on risk mitigation strategies

 

Required Skills

. Understands the strategic vision for assigned client

. Some ability at analyzing & evaluating the business need for the requested project, demonstrating understanding of the business drivers & working with team at determining project feasibility 

. Proceeds with confidence once decisions are made

. Demonstrates ability to work in a diverse team environment and how to work with various personality types to get the work done

. Some project management experience and internet experience preferred

. Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and Visio

. Proficient in Internet and IT solutions

. 1-3 years project management experience

. Automotive and agency experience a plus

. PMP or other industry certification a plus
