The Earned Marketing Team Manager (EMTM) is responsible for managing a team of Earned Marketing specialists (SEO analysts and Social Media Marketing specialists) who deliver ongoing customized digital marketing services to our clients. The EMTM will be responsible for managing their associate’s compliancy to follow all departmental processes and company policies in providing the highest level of digital marketing services.  Responsibilities include the development of Earned Marketing strategies and overseeing the implementation of initiatives; Ensures that optimization opportunities are identified and initiatives taken to increase search engine ranking and directs search engine performance tracking and assesses search outcomes related to sites or advertising/marketing campaigns. Additionally, the EMTM selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function and will regularly review each associates performance and quality of work and goals attainment and manage their expectations and career development opportunities.

 

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Manages team to deliver on defined performance targets and continuously refines these targets as product offerings evolve
  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates
  • Manages day-to-day activities of the team including scheduling, communicating process, policies, performance, quality expectations, technical and product updates, as well as department and company information; Manages team to ensure adequate account coverage through team schedules and back-ups. Responsible for determining staffing needs, recruiting, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations
  • Provides management and professional guidance to team members through regular one-on-one meetings, regular team meetings, monthly quality reviews, quarterly and annual performance goals and reviews, documenting and delivering timely performance and behavior feedback while taking appropriate disciplinary actions as required; Coaches and develops associates to meet and exceed job expectations as well as providing mentoring in career progression opportunities tailored to each associate’s interests and skill set
  • Owns and drives delivery of Earned Marketing services; Assists with product performance reviews, ad hoc reports and projects, and ongoing optimization around operations and delivery
  • Manages the delivery of services internationally including clients based in Canada and Australia and partners with the India Services Team to ensure effective, consistent and appropriate level of service delivery
  • Stays abreast of ongoing development and delivery of products and services that will impact team effectiveness and efficiency by collaborating with multiple internal cross-functional teams
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives; Coaches and mentors team with customer escalations and non-engagement; Assists in problem evaluation and corrective action planning
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customer

 

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in Search Optimization and Digital Marketing
  • Minimum 1.5 years of supervisory/employee oversight experience
  • Client management experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience developing, implementing and measuring the success of new processes and workflows
