As part of the Regional Finance teams, the Finance Business Partner provides both financial and commercial expertise to the Business Leader(s) she/he supports. The FBP is expected to act as the ‘right hand’ to their business leader(s), helping drive performance management and optimise results in line with CDK’s AOP and Strategy. Whilst the role functionally reports up within Finance an exceedingly strong dotted line exists with their business leader(s) due to the hands-on expectation to running the business.


Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
•    Understanding, interpreting, explaining & driving business performance
•    Owner of the financial narrative and linkage to the business narrative
•    Leading financial planning, forecasting, product portfolio reviews to ensure the entity has a credible, joined-up and quantifiable plan to execute its strategy
•    Leading Financial and Commercial risk & opportunity management
•    Evaluating, reviewing and approving business decisions, monitoring on-going projects to ensure benefits are tracked & realized
•    Supporting the business in its growth initiatives from organic to strategic investments and acquisitions
•    Development of strong interpersonal relationships with Regional Business Controllers and wider finance team(s) to ensure they are fully aware of business aspects in country
•    Ensuring Regional Finance Team is fully appraised on financial and operational performance, risks & opportunities.
•    Communicator & advocate for business compliance with Finance/SOX processes and controls in the country
•    Leading and supporting where appropriate financial aspects of commercial negotiations with customers
•    Support in developing financial contract terms, giving guidance on risk identification, assessment and mitigation
•    Providing pricing and analytical support (including ownership of pricing models, sensitivity analysis, etc) for bids and projects.  Ensuring pricing decisions are commensurate with risk profiles
•    Gathering, rationalising and presenting economic, industry and competitor context
•    Development of CDK Finance Business Partner practice 

Skills / Knowledge & Experience
•    Able to apply sound financial analysis to support decision making
•    Able to model and/or critically evaluate businesses cases as needed
•    Able to plan, coordinate, and execute an efficient and effective forecasting / annual operating plan cycle
•    Able to challenge conventional ideas in both a group & one-to-one setting
•    Able to propose clear practical action steps in crafting solutions to business problems
•    Able to focus on cause & effect relationships in observable factors
•    Experience in managing remote teams to build exceptional team spirit in the finance team
•    Familiarity with best practice in Project Management and Risk Management


•    Technical / Professional qualification or working towards.
•    Educated to degree or equivalent level 
•    Experience in senior finance roles, with applied experience in business partnering
