Job Summary                               
 
The Project Manager will have a significant impact on our company by delivering project management, strategic planning, and implementation support for key organizational initiatives that support our objective of better customer engagement and employee engagement. This experienced leader reporting into the Vice President of Global Infrastructure Services, will provide the strategic guidance required to align and prioritize initiatives and ensure that project management, change management and communications are implemented successfully. The project manager will work closely with the VP Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) and the GIS Leadership Team as primary owner of specific areas with cross-functional reach and impact.  The project manager will partner with the central communications team on the overall GIS communications strategy, working closely with global colleagues to ensure that employees and stakeholders are well-informed and to develop increased advocacy and support for initiatives and growth activities sponsored by the organization.
 
Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
We are in need of a leader who have proven skills, abilities, and experience in the following leadership areas:
Project Management – Defines standard project management tools, templates and approaches for critical strategic initiatives. Implements consistent prioritization and alignment across projects and functions to enable successful adoption.
Project Leadership – Leads selected special projects on behalf of VP GIS that require cross-functional engagement with key staff across the organization. Scopes, plans and executes projects meeting time, resource and performance requirements with a focus on risk mitigation.
Global Engagement – Leverages broader network to support communications and strategic initiatives. Serves as advocate for global programs being rolled out across GIS.
Change Management – Includes change management fundamentals to help increase adoption and effectiveness of change across the organization.
 
Education and Experience Required
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; Master’s degree in Business or related field strongly desired.
  • 8+ years of experience in business leadership with a focus on change management, project management and leading cross-functional project teams
  • Must have professional expertise as part of an organization’s senior leadership team in the development and implementation of effective transformational, cross-functional programs that generate positive business results.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and developing/implementing metrics systems.
  • External consulting experience a plus.
  • Prior global experience or working in a global environment also a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.
  • Exceptional, writing, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear, concise and logical manner.
  • Superior critical thinking skills, including the capacity to identify and appropriately assess and order competing interests and priorities.
  • Proven history of taking initiative in managing competing organizational and departmental priorities and to work effectively under pressure when facing extremely short deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence colleagues to drive results.
  • Ability to think through organizational impacts of projects and identify ways to leverage people, process and technology that increase adoption and sustainability.
  • Deep understanding of how projects impact the organization and the importance of integration from a process, technology and people standpoint.
  • Established track record of thinking conceptually and mastering complex subject matter quickly. 
  • Ability to effectively identify, escalate and resolve issues and risks to initiative success.
  • Open in sharing concerns but provides recommendations and solutions.
  • Open to learning new things and values diverse perspectives and insights.
