The Compensation Analyst is responsible for compensation-related plan administration tasks, with a focus on systems and reporting.  The Compensation Analyst performs data analysis supporting the design, development and updates of compensation programs, and conducts market analyses and job evaluations.  Additionally, participates in salary surveys, and supports the Compensation team during the annual compensation review.  May perform special projects as assigned.


Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Responsible for ensuring all pay change transactions conform to established policy, which requires solid knowledge of CDK Global’s salary administration policy, performance appraisal policy, and any related administrative processes; Interprets these policies and applies them in the review and approval of individual pay recommendations submitted by the business and/or HR Partners
  • Coordinates with the HR Operations Service Center concerning administrative transactions necessary to the Compensation function
  • Conducts statistical studies and performs data analyses related to the review of compensation trends, and may make recommendations
  • Participates in regional, national and local compensation surveys, and analyzes data; responsible for data integrity of CDK Global’s survey database
  • Performs job evaluations based on market pricing and makes recommendations; Ensures all evaluations are made in a timely manner and that internal and external equity are maintained
  • Provides guidance to HR Partners on job content creation best-practices and is responsible for the maintenance of Job Description repository
  • Generates ad hoc reporting, as needed
  • Supports the Compensation team on all annual planning cycle activities
  • Performs special projects as assigned.


Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Up to one-year experience in Compensation or Human Resources
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with job evaluation and job description creation
  • Basic understanding of Compensation principles
  • Good time management, research and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines


Preferred Attributes & Qualifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional certification
  • Experience in Human Resources
  • Experience with Tableau and Excel Macros
