Position Summary


The Director, Implementation is responsible for leading a team of consultants accountable for set-up and installation of systems as well as on educating clients about CDK’s family of products and solutions. The Director directly supports the VP/Director in the development and execution of strategic initiatives. Oversees execution of department goals, best-in-class processes, excellent customer service and ongoing professional development of the team members. This leader also closely collaborates with other department directors/managers to execute the company’s overall strategy and goals. 


Position Responsibilities & Essential functions


  • Provides leadership to in the installation of remote and onsite client CDK Solutions; Maintains accountability for the installation and client training deliverables by holding all project resources accountable to the completion of tasks and meeting the project milestone dates
  • Responsible for establishing and delivering consistent and effective training strategies to CDK Global’s client portfolio. Leads the development of standard, documented and measured processes for installations across all products.
  • Partners with sales and project management teams to develop strategy and resource plans to anticipate demand for implementation services and workforce needs.
  • Provides client insight and feedback to product development and professional services teams for product and services improvement.
  • Manages an efficient, measured and transparent, pull-based, case management process.
  • Creates strong alignment with product launch, product development and training team
  • Balances employee location footprint to ensure maximum collaboration ability, control, BCP and cost optimization.
  • Ensures alignment of team to a continuously improvement NPS.
  • Actively engages and collaborates with cross functional leaders to identify onsite and virtual installation process improvements in efforts to exceed client expectations for the CDK Solutions contracted.
  • Ensures organization meets budget expectations.
  • Partners with workforce management to optimize associate scheduling.
  • Conducts regular field and virtual visits to monitor and evaluate associate performance and identifies developmental opportunities.
  • Coaches, mentors, and collaboratively builds associate development plans and conduct ongoing feedback sessions to ensure progress.
  • Supports CDK overall transformational vision to Achieve Competitive Excellence (A.C.E.) through exhibiting: Customer First; OneCDK; and Exceed Expectations and Always Get Better.
  • Responsible for hiring, developing associates, building bench strength, monitoring performance, driving associate retention, and delivering performance reviews.


Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in implementation related field
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in people management role
  • Must work well at the senior level in the organization with the ability to present to and influence senior management
  • Travel requirement up to 50%





  • Experience with business process optimization – LEAN, Six Sigma etc. desirable
