Position Summary

 

The position is responsible for leading CDK’s ERM, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Compliance programs. This is a highly visible role with significant exposure to company leadership.

 

The ideal candidate will have internal controls experience, experience implementing Enterprise Risk Management programs, awareness of US federal sentencing guidelines, ability to work with global teams, strong presentation, communication, and problem solving skills with comfort in dealing with ambiguity in a fast paced and changing environment

 

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

 

SOX

  • Lead CDK’s Global SOX program – finalize scoping, develop the annual plan and perform deficiency assessments, as appropriate
  • Provide practical insights to control design for new existing/process areas
  • Train control owners on controls, documentation, and evidence requirements
  • Maintain CDK’s segregation of duties program
  • Execute CDK’s controls self-assessment and quarterly certification programs
  • Partner with CDK’s financial auditors in supporting effective and efficient audit execution.
  • Provide thought leadership in driving program efficiencies (e.g. automation, controls rationalization).
  • Develop audit committee reporting materials on status of SOX program

 

Compliance

  • Lead CDK’s annual Compliance Risk Assessment program
  • Develop compliance programs in partnership with legal and foster a culture of compliance across the enterprise
  • Co-develop and validate monitoring activities over various compliance areas in conjunction with risk owners
  • Maintain currency of CDK’s policies and administer CDK’s policy development framework
  • Oversee compliance to CDK’s travel and expense, P-Card, and Anti-bribery & Corruption policies
  • Partner with various functions (procurement, legal, finance, etc.) in making updates to relevant policies
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with CDK’s delegation of authority policy
  • Conduct investigations as needed in partnership with HR and Legal

 

Risk                                                                                                            

  • Lead CDK’s Enterprise Risk Management and Fraud Risk Assessment programs
  • Develop risk measures (quantification) on identified risk areas
  • Engage with CDK leaders and perform quarterly updates on identified risk areas and assess progress towards risk mitigation
  • Develop board of directors reporting materials
  • Oversee the work of an off-shore shared services team in executing various control and compliance matters in a matrix reporting structure

 

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of core controls principles including COSO 2013
  • Qualifications such as a CPA, CIA, CISA
  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong project management abilities

  • Master’s
  • Big 4 experience preferred
