CDK is looking for someone who will be accountable for leading the strategic development and execution of critical organizational design and effectiveness strategies. This role will lead organizational strategies with a critical focus on immediate business priorities within our Finance, Product and Technology, IT, Customer Experience organizations, with scalability across the business with global and long term enterprise impact. Responsibilities include:


  • Develop and deploy organizational design strategies and structures that effectively contribute to growth, innovation, customer-centricity and execution across CDK including: structural design, roles and responsibilities, flow of work, decision-making processes, and individual/team people strategies.
  • Assess organizational capabilities, structures, processes, and talent within and across CDK businesses aligned with our mission, vision and strategy that enable large scale business transformation.
  • Consult with Sr. Executive and HR stakeholders to translate business needs and vision into organizational implications, including developing and implementing high-quality and effective organizational solutions.
  • Collaborate with business and HR COEs to deploy strategies within critical business segments, while establishing frameworks and tools to apply to global structures consistently within CDK.
  • Establish the foundational tools and templates for organizational effectiveness that can be leveraged across our business process modernization efforts – ensuring we have the right framework that can be used globally while allowing for localized flexibility.
  • Provide superior end to end client management, including consultation, assessment, strategy design, implementation, and evaluation of organizational design and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leaders and HR Partners to activate an organizational strategy to align with the newly defined organizational designs.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners in managing proper organizational and talent planning in line with the defined strategy and needs of the business units.
  • Provide expert advice and counsel to all levels of leadership. Consult with leaders to address root causes of organizational issues and resolve through a systematic and analytical approach.
  • Access, collect and synthesize data from a variety of sources to lead a data driven approach to strategic organizational design and measurement.
  • Establish key metrics to measure and reinforce high service levels and deliverables from the organization development function and to also measure the success of human capital strategies.
  • Partner with various HR COEs including Talent, L&D, Communications, HR operations, Comp & Benefits  and HRBPs to build best practices and capabilities within the org to enable a high-performing workforce that contributes to the company’s overall strategic growth and transformation.


Position requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in HR/Business Administration or related field; MS/MBA (or equivalent) in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Human Resources, Business Management or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in designing, developing and implementing organizational development solutions of varying complexity across various business segments. Strong experience in Org Design, Org Effectiveness, Talent, and/or HR Business Partnering preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate robust strategic thinking capabilities as well as the ability to execute effectively.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to apply human capital implications
  • Ability to synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic HR solutions that are forward thinking and growth oriented
  • Customer-focused, proven track record of building credibility and influence within the business and across HR specialties.
  • Excellent talent assessment/ organizational design skills
  • Strong understanding/ application of change management and process excellence principles
  • Analytically driven; fluent with data-driven analysis and performance metrics
  • Ability to be effective in a highly matrixed environments, to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of the organization and drive change
  • Demonstrated ability promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel [approximately 10%] to achieve business objectives and support business objectives
