We have an immediate opening available for a Director of Sales Digital - Strategic Accounts.  Create business relationships in both CDK and Competitive Strategic Dealer Group Accounts in a large geographic area. Increase incremental revenue to CDK clients and grow new market share through conquest sales. Work to increase sales opportunities in DSP Solutions in both CDK Clients and Conquest Accounts. Achieve annual assigned sales plan, working under guidance of DSM Director of Sales. Excellent sales skills with a high level of proficiency in communications needed. Proven sales track-record with 5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in the areas of Technology, Web Services, Digital Advertising and automotive. Innovative Digital Marketing solutions from CDK include best in class websites, search engine optimization, Digital advertising and Agency services.  A key component to CDK’s success is the fact that it delivers consultative training providing dealers with customized strategies for converting a greater number of prospects into satisfied customers.

 

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

 

 

  1. Grow new and competitive major accounts.
  2. Seek out new opportunities with existing enterprise customers.
  3. Focus on consultative relationship with the client by developing an understanding of their unique business needs and bringing forth complex integration solutions.
  4. Coordinate selling activity with other sales reps.
  5. Develop an overall sales plan and forecasting sales results for both the short and long term.
  6. Generate significant revenue and profit growth utilizing a disciplined and process-oriented approach.
  7. Set clear, measurable performance goals to achieve a sales quota.
  8. Interface and work with internal teams through the sales and implementation process.
  9. Understand industry segment and keep abreast of competitor developments in the market and/or territory.
  10. Develops comprehensive understanding of CDK products and their functionality.
  11. Utilize Salesforce.com for maintaining client information and forecasting, leveraging the 9 steps of the “Triangle”.

 

 

 

Qualifications & Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of  7 years total outside B2B strategic selling with new business development,  with 3 years of experience in major account or large group experience selling to a committee, C-suite and technical decision makers
  • Experience in Automotive retail or selling into the automotive vertical or knowledge of automotive, finance/insurance, and technology industries.
  • Experience using consultative solution selling to align client’s business needs with a solution
  • Must be able to negotiate and close major sales opportunities with executive level clients
  • Ability to manage a complex sales process
  • Know how to develop and manage a sales territory
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Experience using a CRM
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to travel 75% or more with overnights
