Position Summary


The Account Development Representative (ADR) assists in the goal of growing revenue with current customers and acquiring new customers for CDK Global.


In this fast-paced entry level role, you will be responsible for receiving inbound calls and researching potential opportunities and generated leads by uncovering customer needs. The ADR will collaborate with the inside and outside sales teams in weekly team meetings; the majority of communications will be updates through our sales CRM software platform (Salesforce).


The desire for a long-term career in sales is preferred. Many opportunities await you with success in this role.


Position Responsibilities & Essential functions


  • Relentless prospecting to identify new sales opportunities for CDK products/services, using internet and other resources effectively to better understand client's industry and business needs
  • Qualifying opportunities by demonstrating great questioning and listening skills, while persuasively building value in CDK Solutions
  • Converting these new leads into a qualified opportunity, introducing a Field Rep into the process and providing necessary sales support until closure
  • Supporting and partnering with the Field Rep by gathering important discovery information
  • Responding and following up with inbound marketing/web generated leads
  • Answering inbound Telesales calls to qualify leads for the CDK sales team
  • The ADR will be evaluated based on their ability to meet an assigned number of outbound calls per day, task completions, and the quality of leads generated

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong skills in keeping and maintaining comprehensive and accurate notes in the CRM system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
  • Self-starting capability with the ability to prioritize, multitask and deal with pressure
  • The ability to sell, negotiate, persuade and influence
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present and host web-based presentations to prospects
