Job Duties:
CDK Global, LLC seeks an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Director at our Hoffman Estates, IL location. Responsibilities: Partner with OEM executives, Retail Dealer Network, and key dealership management teams to create and launch programs to meet specific manufacturer-driven and manufacturer-funded initiatives. Translate, adapt, and standardize operational metrics in Mexico and Latin American markets for car dealerships and truck businesses. Develop and launch complex national dealer and OEM programs with implementation life cycles, including developing a structured phased approach, creating standardized operation metrics for national programs, developing and designing training concepts and materials, and focusing outcomes of all programs on increased sales and profitability. Coach and counsel dealership staff and management in areas designed to increase dealership profitability with progression of sales, service, parts, and customer retention strategies. Create long-term growth strategies and retention-based programs by engineering and re-engineering dealership processes for new and existing clients. Design, implement, and sustain certification programs branded to unique OEM solutions.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Management or a related field plus ten (10) years of related experience. Employer will accept one year of work experience for each year not completed toward the bachelor’s degree. Up to 50% domestic and international travel required. Spanish language proficiency required. Telecommuting permitted.
Work Experience:
Three (3) years’ experience must include: Sales, Service, and Parts Operations in the automotive industry; Retail Automotive experience or Allied Market experience related to New Vehicle Profitability and Pre-Owned Vehicle profitability; Service Shop Productivity and Capacity; Translating, adapting, and standardizing operational metrics in Mexico and Latin American markets for car dealerships and truck businesses; Performing OEM network program design, including identifying Key Performance Indicators; and Designing OEM network program curriculum, including drafting manuals and online learning content.
