Position Summary


The Mgr, N.A. Real Estate & Facilities is responsible for assisting the NA corporate real estate deliverables and managing the outsourced facilities management services.


Position Responsibilities & Essential functions




  • Assists in managing the overall real estate portfolio of CDK in N.A.
  • Supervises occupancy and space management for improved portfolio efficiencies
  • Strives to minimize the real estate expenses and enhances the optimization of operating expenses
  • Assists and supports the management of corporate real estate transactions
  • Coordinates real estate legal agreements with brokers, attorneys, and finance
  • Assists in managing the outsourced lease admin team
  • Assists in developing annual budgets for operating and capital expenses; Forecasts management plans and prepares monthly performance, explaining variances




  • Manages assigned facilities in United States and Canada
  • Manages facilities vendor relationships, ensuring work is being performed to scope
  • Provides employees with their facility related needs, ensuring their productivity is optimally maintained
  • Responsible for proactive space allocations or relocations to meet organizational growth
  • Manages the selection process and contract negotiations for consultants, contractors, and facilities vendors
  • Partners with the Sourcing Team to negotiate contracts and issue RFPs for services, as needed
  • Creates and designs corporate safety programs including EH&S, emergency response and evacuation planning
  • Develops and enforces policy, guidelines, and standards
  • Manages to a high level of performance in all areas of office services, shipping and receiving, food and beverage, safety & security, EH&S, waste management and operations/maintenance
  • Addresses and oversees building emergencies such as plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical systems, building health, etc.
  • Administers and supervises the predictive and preventative maintenance programs
  • Works with outsourced partners/vendors to develop preventative maintenance schedules for all building equipment


Qualifications & Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Real Estate or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience
  • Strong communication and analytical skills necessary
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, follow-up and resolve problems independently
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to influence others to achieve results
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management
  • Accountability
  • Analytical ability
  • Business understanding, acumen and writing skills
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to country norms and practices
  • Sense of urgency
