Position Summary

The Manager, Sales Optimization is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, processes and tools to assist the sales team in their proficiency and effective execution to grow revenue, enhance the customer experience, and improve our organizational effectiveness. This individual will also partner with marketing, technology, sales operations, finance, and vendors to develop the process and tools to exceed the revenue and efficiency goals of the North American Sales organization. This position will be responsible for the delivery of project plans; coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific sales projects ensuring consistency with company/sales strategy, commitments, and goals. 

 

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Lead ongoing sales improvement projects including eCommerce platform relaunch, and product migration to this additional sales channel
  • Partner with training and sales launch, execute and continually improve the process to achieve pipeline and bookings goals
  • Collaborate with Sales Force and other technology vendors to consistently demonstrate overall technical proficiency and product knowledge of the breadth of our product offerings while presenting our solutions in a “Present to Sell” methodology
  • Drive utilization of Sales Force throughout the Sales Regions
  • Partner with Sales Ops to optimize the Sales Reporting being shared with leadership and sales
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with the North America Sales leadership team and other key stakeholders being the Sales Liaison to Implementation, Support, R&D and Product Marketing with primary goal to identify areas that enable our sales force to position our products above the competition and increase their ability to sell these products
  • Partner with Marketing to develop tools and messaging for sales to better articulate our equipment value management value proposition
  • Ensures sales projects are aligned to company priorities and associated business outcomes and are completed on time, in scope, and within budget
  • Ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties which may impede progress or compromise achievement scheduled milestones
  • Works closely with assigned teams on process improvement and proactively engages with stakeholder to identify and monitor progress and issue resolution
  • Partner with the global learning organization and Director of Sales Operations to develop and maintain a performance management system along with required training materials to be used across the North America Sales Organization
  • Work closely with the VP of Sales Operations to insure alignment of projects to goals
  • Development of Sales Presentation Programs for the commercial teams within NA

 

Qualifications & Job Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of proven sales and marketing experience
  • Track record with complex project management and project portfolio management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Sales Force including sales use, database use, and analysis tools
  • Understanding of General Accounting Principles
  • Experience with running a process improvement project as well as maintaining a portfolio of projects and project ideas
  • Knowledge of the Automotive Industry and Car Sales Vernacular. 
  • Thorough knowledge of CDK products and Integration.
  • Prior presentation and public speaking experience important as well as significant finance/pricing background.
  • Experience in client relationship development, prior selling experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with post-secondary degree in business, marketing preferred.

  • Highly collaborative and ability to quickly adapt to changing situations
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to lead the organization towards product development that delivers a value proposition customers will pay for so we can obtain additional revenue growth for Division. 
  • Ability to articulate the value of our solutions across all levels and deliver in a specified time frame
