Position Summary:

This leader is responsible for our Global Infrastructure Service Management.  This Senior Director would be responsible for our service strategy, including business relationship management, strategy management, service portfolio management, and demand management.    These infrastructure services include compute, storage, infrastructure platform, database, security, network and data center.    These services will follow multiple architecture patterns (e.g. serverless , containers,  and virtual machines).   These services will run in the public cloud, hybrid cloud, and on premise. They also would be responsible for all of our shared services: cloud expense management, financial management, continual service improvement, and enterprise reporting.   

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead GIS service strategy with all P/L owners.
  • Leads complex transformation projects
  • Establishes links between various transformation initiatives and business strategies using methods/approaches such as capability assessment, business analysis, financial analysis, lean/process management, organizational readiness assessment and stakeholder assessment
  • Provides leadership and direction of projects, including management of all project resources, to ensure all deliverables are met within the time commitment and budget
  • Lead Forecasting & reporting of all expenditure across the GIS Organization (CapEx & OpEx) - ~$100M budget
  • Establish and manage an online enterprise reporting platform.
  • Provide regular communication to IT leadership and Business leadership on areas for improvement, progress, milestones, and areas of success.
  • Grow the technical organization through effective hiring, coaching, motivating and development of a world class technology team.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or other technical field is desired.
  • 10+ years of professional experience leading large enterprise hosting organizations.
  • 5+ years of working in a senior-level leadership capacity; mix of corporate and consulting experience is a plus
  • Experience managing multiple infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience with on premise and cloud infrastructure hosting delivery operations.
  • Direct experience in transforming an organizations on premise data center operations to Cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to explain and champion technical concepts to a broad audience focusing on business acumen
  • Ability to problem solve and work well in complex, ambiguous situations
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Ability to present technical problems and solutions to management in a manner that can consumed and translated into appropriate program improvement requests
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiating skills
  • Ability to drive and manage to a budget
  • A proven track record of thought leadership and driving significant change to deliver new business capabilities and productivity
  • Good business acumen and understanding of business drivers and how that translates to IT delivery
  • International experience with global mindset who can influence others despite diverse cultural and institutional backgrounds highly desirable
  • Expert knowledge of financial and strategic planning
  • Ability to collaborate and drive difficult decisions among business partners
  • Analytically driven; fluent with data-driven analysis and performance metrics including data visualizations for executive and leadership presentations 
  • Ability to think strategically to develop innovative and holistic business solutions that are forward thinking and growth oriented
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities while being nimble and adaptable  
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel [approximately 25%] to achieve and support business objectives
