Position Summary


The Sr Dir, Implementation is responsible for leading multiple implementation workflows.  These workflows are led by Dir, Implementation associates and their teams consist of Implementation Manager, Implementation Supervisors, Product Launch Partners and Implementation Consultants accountable for set-up and installation of systems and educating clients about CDK’s family of products and solutions. The Sr Director oversees the establishment and execution of business strategies, expense controls, productivity improvements, associate retention, department goals, best-in-class processes, excellent customer service and ongoing professional development of the team members. This leader also closely collaborates with other department leaders and the executive team to execute the company’s overall strategy and goals. 




Position Responsibilities & Essential functions


  • Fully accountable for all people-management activities for subordinate staff and responsible for establishing goals and objectives for department.
  • Has accountability for results in terms of expenses, customer satisfaction, employees, programs, function or products.
  • The job requires superior relationship building, collaboration and alignment skills to effectively work with CDK customers and internal stakeholders within the organization to carry out responsibilities.
  • Balances and prioritizes immediate needs with strategic and long-term objectives.
  • Responsible for establishing and delivering consistent and effective training strategies to CDK Global’s client portfolio.
  • Partners with P&L leadership, Implementation Operations, Sales and project management teams to develop strategy and resource plans to anticipate demand for implementation services and workforce needs.
  • Provides client insight and feedback to product development and professional services teams for product and services improvement.
  • Creates strong alignment with product launch, product development and training team.
  • Balances employee location footprint to ensure maximum collaboration ability, control and cost optimization.
  • Ensures alignment of team to a continuously improvement NPS.
  • Develops a strategically linked scorecard for his/her team to be governed and rewarded on.
  • Actively engages and collaborates with cross functional leaders to identify onsite and virtual installation process improvements in efforts to exceed client expectations for the CDK Solutions contracted.
  • Conduct monthly meaningful one on one performance and individual development discussions with direct reports.
  • Set, track and maintain business metrics with finance partner.
  • Oversees the development and execution of improved processes through established change management methods.
  • Responsible for hiring, developing associates, building bench strength, monitoring performance, driving associate retention, and delivering performance reviews.


Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of retail automotive dealership operation knowledge/experience preferred
  • 10+ years managing teams preferred
  • Sound business judgment with critical and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work and influence across all levels of a retail automobile dealership 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Public speaking experience on retail automotive industry insights, vision or motivation.  
  • Effective use of Salesforce, Outlook, MS Office, MS Project Management
  • Ability to travel up to 75%


Experience with business process optimization – LEAN, Six Sigma etc. desirable
