Purpose of role:

Functionally reporting to the CDK Global Director, Financial Systems and dotted line to the CDKI Controller this hands on role will supervise, direct and control all aspects of Financial Systems master data maintenance and development, supporting both the Controllership and FP&A teams.  In addition, the Financial Systems Manager will play a key role in the definition of functional solutions within the finance systems landscape to further develop robust and compliant finance processes across the international business. 


Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and translate functional requirements into application solutions, taking into account internal policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the analysis, implementation, testing and support of all Finance related processes
  • Responsible and accountable for all finance related systems impacting deliverables
  • Collaborate with team members within IT and Finance, external consultants, business users and also provide expertise to the central Service Desk
  • Support the business process with issue identification, resolution and process optimization
  • Direct and support the work of a Financial Systems Analyst, based in our Business Service Centre (“BSC”) in Prague
  • Partner globally with internal Global Financial Systems teams to align to common process and controls where practicable and share best practices in the spirit of continuous improvement
  • Ensure financial systems and process managed in S-Ox compliant manner

Extended Team Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain documentation of finance systems and data flows
  • Understand and maintain financial master data in CDKI financial applications (Navision16, Hyperion Planning / Reporting) and associated mapping tables
  • Reconcile Navision16 and Hyperion Reporting data to Corporate Essbase (the Group management reporting system)
  • Responsible for reporting data in HFM (US System of Record for SEC reporting) and maintaining relevant mapping tables
  • Own Financial Systems administration of, and provide Tier1 support for our new Revenue subledger, being implemented in connection with the Company’s ASC 606 adoption project
  • Support the month end and year end close processes from a financial data perspective (period end routines, system reconciliations, uploads to reporting tools, etc.)
  • Provide direct application support to internal customers
  • Maintain the CDKI Accounting Manual (GL account code definitions, valid GL combinations) and support finance and business users on correct deployment

Skills & Knowledge Required:

Qualifications & Experience Required



  • Graduate and ACA qualified (or equivalent professional finance qualification)
  • Strong technical accounting proficiency
  • Previous experience (5+ years) in a systems accountant role or similar within an ERP environment, preferably MS Dynamics / Navision, HFM, Hyperion Planning and Reporting
  • Implementation of ERP finance applications and solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reporting, etc..)
  • Experience of working with SOX compliance requirements
  • Experience of working for an International company with multi-country teams
  • Ability to travel - will be required on an ad-hoc basis



  • US GAAP knowledge (revenue recognition exposure would be a plus)
  • Experience of working within the technology sector in a similar role
