Purpose of role

  • The Sales Operations Manager is a central role in supporting the CDK DSI Sales Teams in the areas of Sales Education & Effectiveness. This will involve development and deployment of the core elements of the CDK sales model – covering Planning (Country, Territory, Account,) Sales team development/training/onboarding, Core Sales Processes, Sales Tools and Performance Measurement/Reporting for mainland Europe.
  • The role will involve a large proportion of international travel, flexible approach, independent and team working, collaboration with key stakeholders from many other departments and an ability to communicate and influence across a range of cultures and seniority levels.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sales Education - Development and delivery of a number of Sales Training Courses, covering Skills, Process and Tools and the onboarding of new Salespeople and Sales Leaders to maximise time to productivity
  • Collaboration with other departments to assist with knowledge sharing and overall business performance improvement
  • Sales Effectiveness - Coaching Sales Leaders to ensure they are equipped to lead, measure and manage their sales teams effectively and reviewing sales performance and pipelines, individually and collectively and developing action plans to improve performance
  • Providing Sales Teams with the rights reports, processes and tools to ensure maximum effectiveness
  • Sales Certification – ensuring that Salespeople are capable of communicating the CDK benefits and value in a professional and consistent manner
  • Working with individual underperformers to improve their level of success

 

Skills and knowledge

  • Previous Sales experience, both as a salesperson and a manager, preferably in an international software / technology solutions sales environment
  • Training and Coaching course development and delivery experience
  • Automotive Dealership knowledge is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience of rolling out a new Sales Process in a multi-cultural environment
  • Business Improvement experience
  • Familiarity with SFA / CRM tools such as Salesforce.com
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience of international travel and remote working
