*** Please Note - Although this role is advertised in Hungerford (UK) we could also base the role from either Vejle (Denmark) or Prague (Czech Republic) as an alternative***

 

Purpose of role

 

To act as the HR lead for the selected countries, building trusted and effective relationships within the business and the country HR Manager team to enable the smooth operation of people practices. The position leads the country HR Manager team in countries and ensures that the operational human resources activity in countries are supported and meet the GM expectations. Ensure that all HR activity, policies and process are in line with local legislative requirements and the operating standards of the HR organisation and support local country HR Managers to effectively deliver on their responsibilities for the proper execution of HR practices. Support the HRD’s and COE’s to deliver and embed the full range of people activity in the allocated country/countries.

 

This role oversees the country HR Manager work so that it feeds local requirements and considerations into the formation and development of CDK International wide HR strategy and detailed plans, then for working closely with the local business to ensure they are then effectively adopted and embedded.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Line management of the European HR team
    • Define and develp optimum in country HR model to support the CDK Europe Business
    • Regular 121’s, perfrmance management and development planning for the CHRM’s.
    • Partner with GM’s n expectations/support levels in country
    • Act as an escalatin point for CHRM’s in complex issues / cases.

 

  • Leveraging the team, act as a key project team member accountable for the coordination of people related activity that has multi country impacts (e.g. Re-organisations, roll out of CEO activity, support for Global functions etc.).

 

  • Work closely with the HR BSC and COE teams on continuous improvement activities (process refinement, service delivery etc.)

 

  • Leveraging the team, represent CDKi in global projects (MyR&R, Development Review, COE led activity and projects)

 

  • Under the direction of the HRD EMEA, lead ad hoc projects and activity streams for the region.

 

  • Additional tasks as required

 

Key Results Indicators & Measures of success

Employee relations - All ER issues follow local legal process and that any risks are assessed and agreed with

Exit Management - Controls that all exits in countries are appropriately dealt with and that any risks are assessed agreed with

Works Councils and /or Trade Unions and /or Labour Authorities and / or Local Agreements - Due process is followed and any potential escalations are managed and communicated

Local labour laws - Oversees that all policies, custom and practices are aligned to local labour laws and a process is in place to ensure that changes are reviewed and policies are updated as appropriate

Effective people management - Regular 1-2-1s with the HR Manager team, a good working relationship with the CHRM team, effective meeting cadence with the CHRM team, provide continuous development to the CHRM team.

Recruitment - Strong partnership with the recruitment team to ensure appropriate prioritisation as well as focus on quality and time to hire.

Employee engagement and retention - Upskill  and support CHRM’s to deliver against their engagement and retention KPI
