Purpose of role 

A key player in the local senior management team, provide marketing insights and actions that will drive achievement of regional business targets. Have a strong awareness of the local micro/macro economic environment in the context of the automotive retail market and develop a local marketing strategy that clearly articulates CDK’s unique value proposition and achieves agreed marketing goals.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

•    Conduct a marketing audit of the local region, including key topics such as SWOT, competitor and product analysis. 
•    Based on findings, design and develop an annual marketing strategy that achieves specified marketing goals and support key business outcomes. 
•    Proactively work to transform the brand perception of CDK (in line with CDK message house), using central campaign assets and local media relationships. 
•    Develop a comprehensive media channel plan for the region to develop the CDK Global brand, including a media audit, developing media relationships and a regular schedule of positive online and offline PR coverage for the CDK brand.
•    Identify key spokespeople in the region that can deliver the CDK brand message and raise their profile through media briefing notes, interviews, keynote speech development and event presentations.
•    Conduct an audit of the trade event landscape in your region and make recommendations for CDK’s participation to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
•    Plan and manage the execution of CDK’s presence at both trade and CDK own events. Create an experience that “wow’s” CDK customers and prospects, every time. 
•    Where appropriate or required, create CDK keynote speeches (in line with CDK’s approved messaging) and deliver these at approved industry events to raise CDK’s brand awareness. 
•    Audit local country website and work with the central teams on a process of continual optimisation and relevant updates.
•    Work proactively to find opportunities to increase the use of customer referrals in the region. Regularly seek new case studies on an ongoing basis and develop a clear plan for their promotion and use in the sales process. Train the local sales associates accordingly.
•    To ensure a successful local launch of both central and local products, manage the Sales and Marketing readiness of the CDK PLC process for the region. 
•    Execute integrated marketing campaigns through a variety of channels, such as Email, Telemarketing and Direct Mail. Clearly measure results.
•    Proactively work with other departments to map the communication experience thety offer customers and make marketing recommendations for enhancemenmts at each stage. 
•    In conjunction with regional sales teams, work proactively to enhance the customer and prospect databases.
•    Ensure continuous optimisation of the local marketing budget. Monitor the results of campaigns and where appropriate, prepare business cases for increased function due to achievement of agreed local business outcomes. 

 

Key Results Indicators & Measures of success

•    A clear and relevant marketing strategy is created and adds demonstrable value towards local business targets. 
•    Development and deployment of successful lead generation campaigns with quantifiable business results. 
•    Successful, integrated and effective launches of all local and central products
•    Marketing campaigns are launched on time and on budget.
•    Increase in video customer testimonials across regions, as well as their adoption by Sales teams and in campaigns. 
•    A positive customer experience and effective lead generation at CDK Events 
•    Increased media coverage in key local trade publications
•    Proactive communication between Central and Regional teams
•    Quantifiable improvements in local database quality.
•    Visible improvements in the communication experience of other departments such as training or support. Quantify results where possible (i.e. increase form survey completion).

 

Skills / Knowledge & Experience
•    6+ years experience in B2B marketing strategy development and execution
•    Proficient in SFDC, Marketing Automation systems (Eloqua) and modern B2B marketing techniques
•    Experience in integrated, multi-touch marketing campaign planning
•    Experience in brand development through the use of multiple marketing channels
•    Experience in creating a full PR strategy 
•    Experience in Product Marketing, including product lifecycle marketing planning
•    Experience in Digital Marketing
•    Experience in planning and executing events (both industry trade shows and company led)
•    Experience in updating website content
•    Fluency in English 
•    A strong communicator with good presentation skills
•    Ability to manage multiple stakeholders to deliver a business objective.  
•    Experience in marketing budget management
•    Experience of marketing measurement techniques and KPI’s.
•    Strong project management skills
•    Native level proficiency in local language

 

Qualifications required

•    A degree or third level professional marketing qualification.
