<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Position Summary

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Product Management – Manager is responsible for communicating the organizations product vision and strategy while building a high preformat product management team. He or She will lead a team of product managers that specialize in the automotive space. They will prioritize projects that align with roadmap goals, and are the facilitator between business drivers and the team’s ability to deliver the solutions. It is their responsibility to oversee the design and development of our global solutions.

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This Product Management – Manager will be responsible for mentoring new and junior product managers and helping them to succeed.  He or She will manage resources across the product team to make sure all product managers and products have what they need.

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This role functions as a key interface between business leaders, development, operations, support/implementation and product marketing to advance the company’s objective to deliver leading enterprise platform products.  It is also very important for the Product Management – Manager to work with all other product areas to develop strategic synergies among products. This is a critical factor in optimizing future development and innovation of new products.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">This strategic and people-management function involves<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> managing a team of Product Managers, and ensure they stay focused on priorities, as well as motivated to suggest innovative new solution.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Mentor product managers and help them to succeed
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Manage resources across the product team to make sure all product managers and products have what they need.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Analyze internal measurements to determine how our CDK solutions influence the company’s operations, implementation, and support and service areas. Actively partner with these organizations and prioritize enhancements within the roadmap based on business impact
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Product Performance / Operational Metrics / Competitiveness - Monitor and analyze how well the product is performing. Constant monitoring overall product(s) profitability, actual vs. planned revenue, customer satisfaction and market share.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Identifies assumptions, dependencies, & potential risks & creates risk mitigation strategies
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Capture requirements and present solutions to all level of management including executive staff.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Communicate project status to business stakeholders and rollup to overall roadmap
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Analyze deployed applications, keeping track of its maturity in the software development lifecycle, utilization, and fitment in the product portfolio.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Support and partner with marketing, sales and operations in their delivery of various technical marketing collateral including; application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations, online marketing content and demos.

 

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Qualifications & Job Requirements

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">At least 10 years of project management, industry, or marketing experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">5-7 years of leading product development teams using multiple methodologies
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">At least 5 years of experience in people management/leading teams
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Automotive industry expert in their area of responsibility (Parts, Vehicles, Marketing, etc.)
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Knowledge of the key data suppliers and potential partners in their area of responsibility
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A professional Marketing or product management qualification; OR equivalent experience
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Expert knowledge of modern product management concepts and techniques, including Agile development methodologies
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong technical background with the ability to quickly develop deep product knowledge and communicate the business values to the field and customers.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proven ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment with geographically distributed team members.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Extensive Application/Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product/solution experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strategic thinker and understands the importance of ‘whole product’ – product, sales, service, support, implementation
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Thoughtfully considers data before drawing conclusions and/or able to grasp complexities & perceive relationships among problems or issues.
