What you'll be doing? 

 

You will be responsible for defining, evangelizing and executing the product Vision and Strategy. You'll lead the Agile teams to deliver cutting edge software solutions that drive the automotive retail industry, ensuring we meet the global, regional and country specific business and performance objectives.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor and interpret all trends that occur within the Automotive vertical, the competitors in the space, and the surrounding industry segments. Then formulate recommendations on the overall direction of the product suite taking into account the market needs, both current and upcoming.
  • Create a compelling value proposition for your products and evangelize them, externally and internally.
  • Prioritize projects that align with roadmap and drive the vision.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from planning & definition through development, launch, and retirement phases.
  • Create and maintain roadmaps for your products taking additional inputs from sales, marketing, implementation, clients, prospects, partners and other groups. Then communicate the roadmap and any associated updates, with all stakeholders and project partners/teams.
  • Translate the product vision into epics, create user stories and lead the sprint team ceremonies to deliver against the roadmap.
  • Work as a key member of Launch Teams to coordinate all activities required to prepare the product for a successful launch including development and execution of launch plan.
  • Be a key interface between business leaders, development, operations, support/implementation and product marketing to advance the company’s objective to deliver leading enterprise platforms/products.
  • Collaborate with leaders from other product areas to develop strategic synergies among products.
  • Evangelize and lead transformations – Product, Process, Technology, Culture, Workforce.
  • Drive adoption of defined Quality Practices and monitor quality and performance levels through regular analysis of KPI statistics.
  • Ensure compliance to all CDK policies in respect of product development and delivery to the market.
  • Monitor, analyze, improve and report on product performance including product profitability, actual to planned revenue/expense, customer satisfaction and market share.
  • Actively contribute to the overall objectives of the organization, both locally and within the global Mission, Vision and Values of CDK.
  • Represent Products in governance, investment decision meetings and any senior management meetings.
  • Foster Global Communities of Practice across the global Product & Technology teams as appropriate.
  • Undertake regular process reviews to ensure current best practices evolve in line with market and CDK trends.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of local and regional resources, leveraging Offshore capacity as demand requires.

  • Extensive Application/Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product/solution experience.
  • Expertise in defining & driving strategic vision for comprehensive, best-in-class Service Applications.
  • Strategic thinker and understands the importance of ‘whole product’ – product, sales, service, support, implementation.
  • Identifies assumptions, dependencies and potential risks. Creates risk mitigation strategies.
  • Thoughtfully considers data before drawing conclusions and/or able to grasp complexities & perceive relationships among problems or issues.
  • Product Performance / Operational Metrics / Competitiveness - Monitor and analyze how well the product is performing. Constant monitoring overall product(s) profitability, actual vs. planned revenue, customer satisfaction and market share.
  • Product management experience within a delivery focused environment.
  • Have worked in and led global teams.
  • Have experience with leading change management activity in Product, Process, Technology, Culture, Workforce.
  • A good understanding of control tools such as ‘Jira’.
  • A good understanding of Scrum based Agile methodology and processes.
  • An understanding of local variances in process or governance methods affecting commercial software packages.
  • An understanding of the implications of working in a global organization with disparate resource working on concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • An appreciation of the automotive industry would be desirable but not essential. An ability to relate well to people at all levels of an organization.
  • Direct experience with the Pragmatic Marketing Framework is also preferred.
