The Supervisor will oversee a highly motivated team of technical staff members across continents and leads the product development efforts by establishing development objectives, assigning resources, monitoring progress and results, while providing technical leadership. This is a seasoned engineering position with a minimum of 5 years industry experience with demonstrable leadershp skills.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Leads group of developers to ensure timely delivery of all development deliverables with highest quality levels
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to the team; ensure engineering excellence; help improving efficiencies and productivity
  • Responsible for operations from development and release.
  • Deliver highly scalable, dynamic, and incredibly high performing technology solutions.
  • Actively work with product and business stakeholders to help define and prioritize needs.
  • Actively work with peers to ensure broader roadmap is in sync and for a cohesive integrated workflows for the users.
  • Actively mentor the team members with varying skill types and levels, both onshore and offshore, to help them grow professionally.
  • Drive best practices for all facets of the development process with a focus on continuous integration/delivery, quality and operational excellence.
  • Regularly keep management educated of technical/product progress, issues/impediments, risks that impact the business addresses with appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Proactively recommend and/or champion process, tool and development methodology improvements.
  • Be an advocate for the team and champion organizational changes as needed.
  • Continuously learns new skills, development methodologies and approaches, and technologies and keeps up to date regarding emerging technologies and trends


Qualifications

  • Experience leading large scale projects, preferably in delivering Web Applications
  • Experience in technologies that support service oriented architectures
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM development framework
  • Proven track record to deliver engineering excellence with added experience in ALM space
  • Understand what makes a high performance teams (willingness to engage in hiring, career development, motivation)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skills are needed
  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven track record of success in collaborating with large multi-disciplined groups
  • Ability to work with teams with multi-culture and are from multi-location
  • Ability to speak to the strengths and weaknesses of various technology solutions
  • 6+ years of experience including a technical leadership role

 
Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible software development experience
