Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

 

  • Provides remote support to users’ basic hardware and software problems.
  • Takes calls from users, diagnoses problems, and recommends and/or implements solutions for routine end user problems.
  • Acts as first contact for office equipment user support, including but not limited to copy machines, printers, phones, etc.
  • Handles department general administration tasks including document management.
  • Logs all help desk interactions and administers help desk software.
  • Responsible for supporting the telephone hot-line function.
  • Maintains log of incoming hot-line calls and updates records and tracking databases; alerts management to recurring problems and patterns.
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
  • Under close supervision, works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.

 

 

Qualifications & Job Requirements

 

  • No prior experience required
  • Basic skills in an analytical/scientific method or operational process
