Business Intelligence Specialist

 

Purpose of role:

 

As a member of the Business Intelligence Team, one will proactively collaborate across the organization to influence strategic decision-making by combining the power of data and analytics with business and industry expertise while effectively communicating operational and key performance metrics to stakeholders. Driven by intellectual curiosity and creativity, one will architect innovative solutions, provide accurate reporting, and insightful analyses through our Enterprise Data Warehouse and other data tools. In addition to these technical skills, we are looking for someone who is comfortable working directly with team members and stakeholders to understand their requests and concerns; by addressing through data and presenting the results to a non-technical audience in a clear and concise manner.

 

The BI Specialist is expected to either be located already in Prague, or to be considering and willing to relocate to the capital city of the Czech Republic, to join the recently established Global FP&A Center.

 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Development and maintenance of reporting, new data processes and metrics, and financial models
  • Create, design, standardize, and automate advance to complex reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadence
  • Extract data that will be manipulated, merged, and analyzed to reports, graphs, dashboards, and other outputs to ultimately reveal performance business/products for internal users and external audiences
  • Produce visualization of data using tools such as Excel, Tableau, and other advance to expert tools
  • Support ad-hoc data and reporting requests

 

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Effective communications and collaboration with team members and stakeholders to gather and understand data requests and requirements
  • Build & maintain integrated forecasting models and variance analysis
  • Be the expert on relevant data sources to answer particular sets of questions and ensuring data integrity
  • Implement tools and frameworks for automating report generation, identification of data-quality issues, and data-governance
  • Maintain an understanding of general business drivers and trends and understand the link between analysis and business impact

 

Key Skills / Knowledge & Experience:

 

  • Expert skill level using SQL to pull and manipulate data within databases
  • Expert skill level using Microsoft Excel, VBA is a strong plus
  • Experience with Tableau, Alteryx, and/or other Reporting and Data blending (ETL) tools
  • Able to analyze large volumes of raw data, package the data for further consumption, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations

  • Self-starter, willingness to learn, well organized, detail-oriented and a highly collaborative team member
  • Passionate about data analytics and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Strong business and business analytics acumen
  • History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
  • Proven ability to identify areas of opportunity in existing processes and execute appropriate improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

 

Qualifications required:

 

  • Over 2 years’ relevant experience, Over 4 years’ relevant experience is Plus
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a related field
  • Fluent in English – written and conversation
