Purpose of role:

 

Reporting to the Deputy Controller, International, this role supports the overall objectives of the International Controllership team, ensuring accurate reporting of CDK International financial performance in compliance with US GAAP and CDK policy, and maintaining a strong internal control environment through timely and effective review of results submitted by Regional Finance teams.

 

The Analyst is organised with excellent communication, planning and time management skills in addition to an excellent attention to detail.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Run the Controlling processes on a day to basis and coordinate with the BSC, corporate FP&A and Controllership teams.
  • Provide accurate reporting and insightful analysis of balance sheet as required
  • Preparation of monthly reports and Balance Sheet analysis and reconciliations
  • Monitoring of Intercompany process and escalation of out of balance issues
  • Data quality validation – Systems financial data across multiple platforms to verify accuracy and consistency
  • Point of contact within Controllership team for US GAAP reporting to Corporate
  • Liaise with Controllership, FP&A, and BSC Finance teams to confirm results and reporting
  • Answering queries from across the CDKI region
  • Proactive involvement in ongoing business improvement initiatives
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and investigation

  • High level of technical proficiency
  • High degree of accuracy in all activities
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to show initiative and provide solutions to problems identified
  • Able to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively with key contacts across the business at all levels
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work remotely with teams of different cultures
  • Ability to work under pressure, displaying positive attitude as a team player
  • Strong command of English
  • Ability to adhere to Finance policies, procedures and implement SOX compliant checks and remedial activities when needed

 

Qualifications required

 

Essential

  • University educated within a relevant field or qualified by experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrable knowledge of accounting and finance processes, including practical application of US GAAP accounting
  • Ability to manage upwards and deal with all levels of seniority
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a multinational/multicultural environment, preferably within a SOX compliant organisation
  • Good business acumen
  • Ability to travel
