Purpose of role

To own the Revenue Recognition close process.  This includes monitoring output from RevPro (Revenue Sub-Ledger) and supervision a team of Revenue Analysts based in Prague.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Run the monthly revenue and related cost accounting processes.
  • Ensure the revenue close is timely and in compliance with ASC606 / IFRS15.
  • Co-ordinate the completion of audit requests.
  • Liaison with Operational Business teams (Sales and Customer Implementation teams), Country Finance Business Partners and Technical Accounting Manager.

Skills / Knowledge & Experience

  • Able to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Able to develop strong relationships and working collaboratively with key contacts across the business e.g. Business Service Centre, Operations, Legal and Sales.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Independent and proactive.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Good command of the English language.

Qualifications required 

  • Knowledge of revenue recognition rules under ASC 606 / IFRS 15 (or otherwise genuine desire to expand knowledge in this area)
  • At least 5 years of Bookkeeping/financial accounting/reporting experience
  • Experience of working with Navision ERP or other finance systems
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a successful team
  • Experience of working for a multinational, multi-currency company would be advantageous
  • Experience of working in a shared service centre would be advantageous
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
