CDK is looking for a highly motivated and relentless Agile Transformation Leader who will help drive our product development and technology teams to adopt the foundations of SAFe agile. This is an opportunity to make a major difference in the lives of employees, customers, the market and, most importantly, our clients. As Agile Transformation Lead you will have an ongoing opportunity to drive continuous improvement, lead change for our clients, and enable scaling our cross-functional teams.

  • Be the go-to lead on standard agile practices
  • Work In partnership with the "SAFE with Jira Align Program Manager" to define how the tool supports our desired standard AGILE practices.
  • Work in partnership with the "Program Increment Process Owner" to ensure Agile practices are adhered to.
  • Mentor/coach teams and leaderships on adoption of standard agile practices.
  • Drive the change management needed for agile adoption across the organization


This includes the following

  • Use Scaled Agile Framework and agile subject matter expertise to coach teams on methodology/practices and influence leadership on the culture change required to shift from a traditional to an Agile methodology and mindset.
  • Lead, consult, teach and coach Agile roles.
  • Direct activities to define, deploy, evaluate and support common agile standards and best practices, processes, tools and process/performance metrics.
  • Lead portfolio planning and SAFe processes.
  • Prepare a variety of communication artifacts related to agile events, transformation progress and plans.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to various levels of stakeholders and leaders and facilitates working sessions to identify resolutions to barriers to scaling use of Agile.
  • Direct activities and leads classes to educate and promote use of Scaled Agile Framework common processes, methodologies, products and services.
  • Assist Lean-Agile Leaders and other Agile Practice team members in development of the Agile consulting / coaching aids and use that aids to assist teams with Agile on-boarding process.
  • Expected to contribute to the growth and maturity of the Agile transformation in various roles such as competency development and methodology development.
  • Actively shares experience and knowledge gained on engagements with colleagues through formal and informal avenues.
  • Ability to communicate via multiple channels including telephone, email or face to face.
  • Provide insight to new and emerging perspectives and point of views on Agile and related subjects.
  • Thinks like a transformation / agile change agent / evangelist industry professional can quote current and extensive industry data and demonstrates ability to apply best practices.
  • Leads and supports change management initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborates effectively with internal (corporate & senior business leader levels and below) and/or external stakeholders. Communicates technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Responsible for vendor management, off-shore management, and service contract management as applicable.
  • Builds and maintains respectful relationships internally and externally.\
  • Travels occasionally to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations.

    Desired Qualifications/Experience/Certification/Education

  • SPC certified and able to teach SAFE courses, specifically Leading SAFe, SAFe for POPM, SAFe for Scrum Masters
  • Experience working with Jira Align and following the SAFE methodology
  • Experience transforming a software development company into an agile approach.
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT work experience with successful career progression OR related business leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of project management experience leading moderate to high complexity projects and/or experience leading a small program.
  • Minimum of 6 years of people leadership experience, which includes the ability to effectively lead teams and/or leaders and manage individual performance.
  • Experience developing and executing a strategic vision for a team.
  • Experience making independent decisions and assuming higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including effective presentation skills.
  • Experience applying various project management methodologies.
  • Experience working effectively across technology areas, independent of organization structures.
  • Demonstrated success in internal and external relationship management.
  • Experience in utilizing Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) or transferable software package.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or related field
