Summary

Assist the Product team to manage the entire life cycle of existing products from product design, to solution design, to build, and implementation. Conducts some tasks independently but also able to lead Agile sprint team, for existing products, to deliver leading edge software solutions that the drive the automotive retail industry.  Responsible for learning the process and for collecting and defining product requirements, writing user stories, and managing typical agile team processes.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Support the product team(s) to create and prioritize the roadmap and backlog.
  • Assist the development and authoring of user stories.
  • Troubleshoot product and system related issues and identify root causes
  • Attend meetings with key customers, sales, business owners and partners to gain insight & increase collaboration.
  • Shadow experienced product managers to learn CDK products, processes and customers.
  • Focuses on acquiring knowledge of automotive industry, challenges faced by dealers, and competitor’s offerings to apply design thinking approach.
  • Partners with key stakeholders including sales, marketing, launch, support, and other internal partners. Participates and/or leads activities with external stakeholders and clients to ensure all product offerings meet their strategic goals. Supports risk management, compliance and audit needs as part of the first line of defense.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering or commensurate experience
  • Understanding of product management techniques and concepts and 4-7 years of related experience.
  • Detail, action, and process oriented.
  • High level of organizational skills, and good attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and develop best solutions.
  • Willingness to take on new and exciting challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Some travel may be required to meet with customers and business partners.
  • Energetic and able to adapt to quickly changing situations and ongoing business demands
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
